Good bookmark: How the SQL Server developers update SQL Server

Okay - so that's not the official title (the official title is the overly officious An Incremental Servicing Model is available from the SQL Server team to deliver hotfixes for reported problems) but I think my title is something people can understand. I put this post together to help people figure out questions like:
- How to find the latest updates for SQL Server
- How to know what hot fixes are available for SQL Server
- What is the most recent service pack for SQL Server 2008?
- What is the most recent service pack for SQL Server 2005?
So go give it a read and learn about what a GDR is, a COD patch is, and how to get the most recent hotfix for SQL Server 2008!
