Getting close… SQL Server 2008 R2 has just been released in CTP
- by Scott Whigham on August 10, 2009 12:56 PMWhile we don’t have a due date yet, the latest CTP for SQL Server 2008 R2 is here. That’s a good indicator that we aren’t that far away. Historically we’ve seen MSFT go through anywhere from zero through six CTPs prior to releasing the version and those are generally in 2-3 month spacers.
As of this writing, the CTP web page is 404 (“Page not found”)
If you’ll visit the R2 home page, you’ll see the CTP download link: http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2008/en/us/R2.aspx

In fact, some of the Swiss luxury watch, in appearance and identity numbers are there, and done a lot of anti-counterfeiting
measures,. For example, Rolex has 5 numbers, they are: (1) case models, (2) Watch production sequence number
movement and on the number, (4) the movement and on the production sequence number, (5) the band number. In addition to the
band number in the band discount out surface, the rest are hidden, not to remove the watch strap or open the rear door in order to
see it.
